A Valentine's Wreath

At many stores I have been tempted to purchase Valentine's decor, because as of right now, I have none. Being a frugalista, I have decided to hold out for the day after clearance sales so that I can get a good deal, and enjoy decorations next year. But while I was at the Dollar Tree today, inspiration struck and I was able to create a beautiful wreath for about $1.50!

I purchased a bag of 300 pink petals for $1 (and only used half), and a green foam wreath form for, you guessed it, $1. I stuck the petals onto the wreath form with stick pins used for sewing, layer by layer in order to hide the pin tips. I hung it on the inside of the front door with a ribbon scrap I saved. Here's the final product:

I have seen similar wreaths sell for $15-$25. This version cost under $2 and took about 20 minutes from start to finish. Not bad, huh?!

I only wish I had seen a heart shaped wreath form-that would have been perfect!
