A pitiful menu, excuses, and obsessions.

Well, this week's menu is really going to rely heavily on my well-stocked freezer.  Why?  Well, there are many reasons.  First of all, I'm busy getting goods ready to sell for a craft extravaganza in a few weeks--sewing my little heart out!  Secondly, I have two weeknight engagements this week in addition to my regular nighttime work hours and Wednesday night church.  Basically, tonight is the only night this week that we were able to sit down and enjoy dinner together.  We had some delicious homemade egg rolls and egg drop soup.  Yum!

However, my freezer is stocked for occasions such as this, and my pantry is stocked too, so never fear--we'll be eating well!

If you want some good inspiration for your menu, here are some blogs I like to visit:

Please pardon my lack of posts these past few days.  I have a new obsession.  It's crocheting.  Here are some granny squares I've made for a group project:

And here's a stack of burp cloths that I have been making for the craft extravaganza I referred to above:

I also cleaned my desk--it has had stacks of books and papers on it that were literally as tall as the printer.  I can work that way 'cause I'm crazy like that, but clutter of that magnitude is not good for a marriage--to say the least.  So, it only took a little while and it's clean!  (Makes me wonder why I put off that chore for SO long!)

My office is not glamorous by any stretch of the imagination, but it works.  Like all those cords?  You won't see those on Thrifty Decor Chick or the Nesting Place, but here at Spartan Living we keep it real.  Really real.  Almost too real.  Anyhow, I'm proud to be able to see the surface of my desk once again, so I'm sharing this accomplishment with you.

So, what's keeping you busy these days, fellow Spartans?

  1. Good for you with the office, mine is a disaster area. It's actually one of the reasons why we have not had people over lately! And your granny squares are beautiful :)
